OpenAI's conversational assistant, available on the web, as a phone app, and by voice. It answers questions, summarises and rewrites text, explains things step by step, and can describe a photo you send it. For blind and low-vision users the practical appeal is that the interface is language rather than layout: you ask in plain words and get plain words back, and voice mode allows a spoken back-and-forth with no screen involved at all. It is a general-purpose tool rather than an assistive one, so it adds no screen-reader features of its own beyond working with whatever is already on your device. It can also be confidently wrong, which matters more when checking an answer against what is on screen is the harder thing to do.
